Subject: KMotion application for Android
Hi,

Do we have the GCode interpretor and other KMotion apps already ported to Android? If Not any plans for the same in near future?

We want to port the GCode interpretor to android, is it that possible? or any anticipated issues with using Android Tablets for communication with KFLOP over USB serial port?

Do let us know us thoughts on this.

Hi Shailesh,

The KMotion Libraries will not work with Linux or Android.  They use Microsoft MFC Classes for Threads, Mutexes, Files, CStrings, etc...  We would like to port the Libraries to Linux but this will not happen in the near future.  There are Linux drivers for the FTDI USB Chip that we use.  Some Users have been able to use a Virtual Com Port to send Console Script Commands to KFLOP, but none of the Coordinated Motion Libraries, Interpreter, Trajectory Planner would be available doing this.
